FAQ

Common questions about BGauge dashboards, compatibility, and support.

What is a race dashboard? +

A race dashboard is a motorsport display that shows live engine and vehicle data where the driver can see it. BGauge dashboards connect to standalone ECUs over CAN and replace multiple analog gauges with one configurable screen.

Which ECUs are fully supported? +

Megasquirt, MaxxECU, ECUMaster, and AEM are confirmed. Additional platforms are coming — contact us if yours is not listed.

How does the dashboard connect to my ECU? +

Via CAN bus using your ECU's default CAN data output. Enable the appropriate broadcast channels in your ECU software.

Do I need a laptop to configure shift lights? +

No. Both Race Dash and Drag Dash allow shift light programming directly on the touch screen.

What's the difference between Race Dash and Drag Dash? +

Race Dash is a 7-inch display with up to 17 values and built-in 20 Hz GPS — ideal for track, drift, and full-data builds. Drag Dash is a compact 2.8-inch round display with up to 6 values — built for drag and tight installs.

Can I use this with a stock OEM ECU? +

BGauge dashboards are designed for standalone ECU systems. OEM ECU support is not the primary focus — contact us to discuss your specific setup.
